Pilgrimage
to the Basilica of the National Shrine of
Our Lady of Fatima

Earlier this year, on Saturday, May 13th, was the100th Anniversary of Our Lady's first appearance to the shepherd children. The Basilica of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima celebrated the anniversary with a most special Mass and Rosary Walk.

October 13th, 1917 marked the 6th and final appearance of the Blessed Virgin Mary to the children in Fatima.

The Annual State Pilgrimage to the Basilica of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima took place on Sunday, October 15th. The State Deputy Ken Latham and Carol, and the State Family made their pilgrimage to attend the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in the Shrine Chapel, and to participate in the Rosary Walk.

The main Celebrant was the Most Reverend Edward M. Grosz, Auxiliary Bishop of Buffalo. The Concelebrants included the Reverend Jeff Nowak, Associate State Chaplain, the Rev. Julio Ciavaglia, the Rev. Peter Calabrese of the Basilica, and Deacon Charles Esposito, State Treasurer.
